Online Country Research Book~Project Description:
During Library Research & Technology Skills classes, students worked in cooperative groups of 4 to research a country of their choice.

• Students gathered research about their country from books and online sources.
• Students discussed and recorded notes in a graphic organizer about four areas for their country: 1) Favorite foods; 2) Life as a kid/family (sports, games, holidays, school, etc.); 3) Land and animals; 4) Interesting places to visit or things to know.
• Each student was then assigned one focus area to present information about in an online book. Students needed to used keyword search strategies to find and save pictures from the internet that represented the information they chose to present.
• Then, students wrote captions for each picture they chose. Pictures and captions/comments were then uploaded to an online book tool, Mixbook, and assembled into a book.
